Dry & Wet Pig Feeder
Combined feed and water station for pig pens — 80 kg and 100 kg hopper models, 304 stainless steel pan and dispensing valve, 27-position feed flow control, and drinking nipples on a 1/2-inch stainless water pipe.
The dry and wet pig feeder gives pigs feed and drinking water in one feeding station. It is used in nursery, grower, and finishing pens where controlled feed delivery and easy cleaning matter.

Feed is dispensed by the pigs themselves — a nudge on the stainless steel rod releases feed from the hopper. The drinking area sits beside the pan, fed by two low-flow nipples. Manual filling and automatic feed line filling are both supported.
Key Features
- Feed and water in one station — dry feed hopper above, drinking area beside the pan; no separate drinker needed in the pen.
- 304 stainless steel dispensing mechanism — pigs nudge a stainless round rod to release feed; wetted feed parts are all 304 stainless.
- 27-position feed flow regulator — dispensing rate set in fine steps for piglet to finishing pig intake.
- Suspended hopper, separated from the pan — the upper hopper sits apart from the lower feed pan, so moisture from the drinking area does not reach the feed. Feed stays dry and bridging risk is reduced.
- Feed valve isolated from water — the 304 stainless valve sits above and apart from the pan, keeping the feed path clear of drinking water.
- Anti-spill pan with a shape pigs respect — wider in the center, tapered at the ends, so pigs do not step into the pan; the anti-spill edge limits feed loss.
- Sloped water bowl — small water volume with fast turnover; less standing water in the bowl.
- Two 304 stainless steel nipples on a 1/2-inch pipe — gentle flow, less spillage, drier pens and less liquid manure to handle. Optional filter.
- Translucent hopper — feed level visible from outside the pen without opening the lid.
- Handles pellet, crumble, and powdered (mash) feed — the stainless valve dispenses powdered feed without clogging.
- Mounts on plastic or concrete partitions — lid included; hopper configurable for auger line filling.

How the Feeder Works
Pigs nudge the stainless steel rod at the pan, and the 304 stainless metering mechanism releases feed from the hopper. Feed flow is set on the 27-position regulator — restrict it for nursery pigs on controlled feeding, open it up for finishing pigs on ad lib intake.
The hopper hangs above and apart from the feed pan. This separation keeps moisture from the drinking area out of the feed, so the hopper contents stay dry and flow freely — the main cause of bridging and blocked outlets in wet feeding stations is feed that has taken on water.
The drinking area sits beside the pan: a sloped bowl with two 304 stainless nipples on the 1/2-inch water pipe. Low-flow nipples reduce spillage, which keeps the lying area drier and reduces the liquid load in the manure system.
Product Close-Up & Details

Feeding Control by Stage
- Nursery (weaning to ~30 kg): restricted flow positions, small meals, gentle water flow for piglets.
- Grower: intermediate flow, feed and water adjacent to support daily gain.
- Finishing: full flow for ad lib feeding; the 100 kg hopper (KMWF-10) cuts refilling frequency on large groups.
The same feeder covers the full cycle — the flow setting and hopper size are the only changes between stages.
Connection to Automatic Feed Lines
The hopper comes with a lid and can be filled manually or by an automatic feed delivery system. For line filling, we match the drop outlet position to the hopper inlet — the feeder connects to standard auger delivery lines.
Configuration and Selection
Send us the following and we will confirm the model, hopper size, flow settings, and water connection:
- Pig stage and weight range — nursery, grower, or finishing
- Group size per pen
- Pen layout and partition type — plastic or concrete
- Feed type — pellet, crumble, or mash
- Water line setup — pipe size and available pressure
- Manual filling or automatic line filling
- Destination port
Applications
- Nursery, grower, and finishing pens in group housing
- Farms converting from separate dry feeder + drinker setups
- In farrowing and weaner rooms, the feeder sits alongside the galvanized sow farrowing crate layout — we match feeder count and model to your pen count.
FAQ
Can the feeder be connected to an automatic feed line?
Yes. The hopper can be filled manually or by an automatic feed delivery system. We match the drop outlet to the hopper inlet — confirm your line pipe diameter when ordering.
How many pigs does one feeder serve?
Feeder count is calculated from pig stage, group size, and feeding space allowance per pig — nursery and finishing numbers differ. Send your pen plan and we will confirm the quantity and spacing.
What materials are used?
The pan, dispensing valve, rod, and nipples are 304 stainless steel. The hopper is injection-molded translucent PVC. The water pipe is galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Does it work with powdered or mash feed?
Yes. The 304 stainless valve dispenses powdered feed evenly, and the dry hopper environment reduces the clogging that wet stations see with mash feed. Pellets and crumbles also run well.
How is the feeder cleaned?
The pan is 304 stainless with an open shape for scrubbing and washing. The sloped water bowl drains without pooling, and the hopper’s translucent wall lets you check feed condition without opening the lid.
What water connection does it need?
A 1/2-inch line with two 304 stainless nipples. An in-line filter is optional. Confirm your water pressure when ordering — we set the nipple specification to match.
