Automatic Egg Grader and Sorting Machine
The automatic egg grader sorts eggs by weight — weighing each egg, assigning its grade, and delivering it to the right outlet for packing. Capacities run from 4,000 to 25,000 eggs per hour, with grading into 4 to 7 weight classes, at ±1 g accuracy across the range.

The series serves layer farms grading their own eggs, packing centers, and distribution operations — fed by hand or fed directly from our central egg collection system, grading and packing in one flow.
Functions
- Candling: Inspects eggs using a light source to detect cracks, blood spots, and shell defects.
- Grading: Weighs and sorts eggs into programmable market weight classes.
- Counting: Automatically tracks and tallies production output by grade.
- Packing: Offers manual, automatic, or hybrid packaging; high-capacity models feature dual automatic and manual packing lanes.

The high-capacity machines take eggs from an accumulator — the buffer table that receives the house conveyor flow and presents eggs to the grader infeed — and pack automatically. The 104A and 107 add head turning (rotating eggs under the candling light for full-shell inspection) and run automatic packers with a manual packing lane alongside.
Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel
The compact machines come in both materials; the high-capacity range is stainless throughout. The choice on compacts:
| Factor | Carbon steel | Stainless steel |
|---|---|---|
| First cost | Lower | Higher |
| Corrosion in wash-down environments | Coating-dependent | Inherent resistance |
| Food contact surface | Painted/enamel contact | Bare-metal food contact |
| Best for | Budget entries, dry packing rooms | Wet cleaning regimes, food-safety audits |
Connecting to Your Line
- From central collection: the grader infeed connects to our central egg collection belt system — inlet height, belt direction, and transfer speed are confirmed before production. The house conveyor feeds the accumulator; the accumulator feeds the grader.
- Full-line integration: connects with washers, printers (date/traceability coding), and conveyors for a complete packing line.
- Loading direction: left or right egg loading, by model (the L/R suffix) — the machine mirrors to your floor layout.
- Control: PLC with color touch screen and self-diagnostic system.
FAQ
Can the machine be connected to a central egg collection belt?
Yes — inlet height, belt direction, transfer speed, and collection layout are confirmed before production. The house conveyor feeds the grader’s accumulator; grading starts without intermediate handling. See our central egg collection system.
How many grades can it sort?
4 to 7 weight classes by model — see the tables. Class boundaries follow your market’s weight bands. (Programmable boundaries — confirm.)
What does candling catch?
Cracks, blood spots, and shell faults — the operator removes flagged eggs at the inspection position. The 104A and 107 add head turning, rotating each egg for full-shell inspection.
Manual loading or automatic?
Compact machines (101/102) load by hand — a crew feeds eggs from trays. High-capacity machines (102BS/104/107) take eggs from an accumulator fed by the conveyor line.
Do I need three-phase power?
Compacts: no — 220 V single phase runs them. High-capacity: 380 V three-phase, and the 107 is three-phase only.
Can it pack automatically?
The 104A and 107 run automatic packers with a manual lane alongside. The compacts collect manually at the outlets — the practical choice at 4,000–5,400 eggs/h.
