Central Egg Collection Belt System
The central egg collection belt system moves eggs from every layer cage row to one collection point. Instead of staff walking the rows collecting by hand, eggs arrive at the head of the house — or a central room — ready for grading and packing. The system connects directly to an egg grader, sorting table, or packing line.

We design the layout from your house plan: cage row arrangement, house length, tier count, bird capacity, and where the eggs need to end up. On H-type layer cage systems, collection is part of the same automation as feeding and manure removal.
The Egg Path
Eggs travel the system in three legs:
1. Longitudinal belts (per tier, per row). Each cage tier has its own egg belt running the row length. Eggs roll from the cage onto the belt and convey toward the row end.
2. Cross / elevator transfer. At the row ends, eggs transfer to a cross belt or elevator that carries them up and across toward the collection point. This is the critical design leg — eggs are climbing and transferring between belts here, and the transfer points must manage egg spacing and drop height.
3. Head / central conveyor. The final conveyor delivers eggs to the collection point: a head-end table for hand packing, or a central conveyor running to the egg room and directly into a grader. When multiple houses feed one egg room, the central conveyor is where they meet.

Egg Conveyor Belt vs Manual Egg Collecting
Manual collecting still exists, but it has limits. Workers carry trays, walk long distances, and often handle eggs multiple times. Each step increases risk.
With an egg conveyor:
- Eggs move once, not repeatedly
- Sorting and grading can begin earlier
- Transporting eggs becomes part of a continuous flow
In real projects, farms switching from manual methods often report fewer handling errors and better daily productivity. The conveyor belt simply removes unnecessary steps.
FAQ
Does this work with my existing cages?
On our H-type systems, collection integrates per tier as part of the automation. On existing cage installations, retrofit depends on the cage brand and structure — send photos and dimensions of the rows and we confirm.
Can it connect directly to an egg grader?
Yes — the conveyor delivers at grader infeed height, so eggs flow from house to grading without intermediate handling. Tell us the grader model (ours or third-party) at design stage.
How fast does it collect?
Belt speed and collection timing are set to your daily egg flow — the morning peak is the sizing case. (Speed range per model — confirm.)
What about egg breakage?
Breakage depends on transfer-point design on the equipment side, and shell quality on the flock side. We design each transfer for low drop and controlled spacing — and we don’t quote a breakage percentage, because your shell quality is part of the equation.
Several houses to one egg room — possible?
Yes — central collection is exactly that: each house conveys to a central conveyor line running to the egg room. This is the layout for multi-house farms, and we design the junctions.
