50-Inch Galvanized Box Exhaust Fan
The 50-inch galvanized box exhaust fan is built for tunnel and negative-pressure ventilation in poultry and livestock houses. It extracts hot, humid, and contaminated air from the building and operates as part of a complete system with air inlets, evaporative cooling pads, and environment controllers.

The listed model delivers 41,800 m³/h at 0 Pa with a 1.1 kW direct-drive motor. Frame, shutters, motor, and electrical configuration are selected according to house dimensions, static pressure, climate, and ventilation targets.
Key Features
- 41,800 m³/h at 0 Pa from a 1,310 mm blade — sized for broiler tunnel ventilation and large-volume air exchange.
- Direct drive. The motor couples directly to the blade — no belts to tension, no pulleys to align, no belt dust in the house.
- IP67 motor in an aluminum alloy shell, Class F insulation, with built-in overload protection. The sealed motor suits dusty houses and pressure washing.
- 275 g/m² galvanized steel housing — standard coating for humid houses and coastal regions.
- Automatic push-pull shutters open with airflow and close when the fan stops, sealing the wall opening against wind loss and back-draft.
- Stainless and corrosion-managed fixings. 304 stainless fasteners; black-coated Q235 frame tubes; PP + fiberglass air collector and shutter linkage — no rust streaks on the wall after one flock.
- System-ready. Connects to speed control and environment controllers; pairs with 7090/5090 cooling pads and air inlet windows in tunnel setups.

| Model | GFFD-1380-TZ |
| Airflow | 41,800 m³/h at 0 Pa (free air) |
| Rated power | 1.1 kW |
| Rated voltage / current | 380 V / 4.1 A |
| Drive mode | Direct drive |
| Motor speed | 1,400 rpm |
| Blade diameter | 1,310 mm |
| Blade count | 3 |
| Fan size (W×H×D) | 1,380 × 1,380 × 520 mm |

Technical note — read airflow figures with their test condition. Airflow must always be stated together with static pressure. A fan with a higher free-air (0 Pa) figure may not deliver the same performance once installed against poultry-house static pressure — filters, pads, and inlets all add resistance. Send your house layout and we calculate delivered airflow at your operating pressure.

How It Works in the Ventilation System
In a tunnel setup, the exhaust fans are mounted in the far end wall. They create negative pressure inside the house, drawing fresh air through the cooling pads on the opposite end and across the birds at controlled speed:
Cooling pads + air inlets → house length airflow → 50-inch exhaust fans → outside
The same fan runs in minimum-ventilation mode at reduced speed via the environment controller, so one installation covers both winter air exchange and summer tunnel cooling.
Box Fan vs Cone Fan
We manufacture both. Choose by house type and ventilation stage:
| Factor | 50-inch Box Exhaust Fan | 36-inch Butterfly Cone Fan |
|---|---|---|
| Typical placement | End wall, tunnel ventilation | Sidewall or moderate-ventilation duty |
| Airflow profile | Straight axial flow, works at higher static pressure | Cone recovers airflow at low static pressure |
| Best for | Large broiler tunnel systems, hot-climate air exchange | Layer houses, pig barns, smaller houses |
| House integration | Main exhaust bank in tunnel setups | Spot and sidewall ventilation |
Installation
- Cut a 1,400 × 1,400 mm wall opening per fan; fan body is 1,380 × 1,380 × 520 mm.
- Mount with the shutter facing outward; the automatic shutter seals the opening when the fan is off.
- Allow service access at the motor side — the direct-drive unit needs no belt access, but blade and shutter cleaning requires reach.
- Electrical: 380 V connection, 4.1 A rated current per fan. We confirm voltage and frequency configuration against your market before ordering.
Motor and Electrical
The motor uses an aluminum alloy shell with IP67 sealing — dust-tight and washdown-capable, relevant for houses in sandy or high-dust regions. Class F insulation with a built-in overload protection device that protects the motor under abnormal operating conditions. Direct drive means the only wear parts are the bearings and the shutter linkage.
Export Supply and Packing
Packed individually for farm project shipment, 80 kg gross weight per fan. Fans nest in container loading with shutters protected; exact packing volume and container plan confirmed with your order quantity.
FAQ
How many 50-inch fans do I need for a poultry house?
Quantity depends on house length, width, height, bird numbers, target air speed, climate, and static pressure. Send house dimensions and flock plan — we complete the ventilation calculation before you order.
Can the fan work with cooling pads?
Yes. In tunnel ventilation, the fans create negative pressure that draws air through the pads and across the house. We size fans and pads together as one system.
What voltage and frequency options are available?
The listed model runs 380 V. Electrical configurations for other markets are available — confirm your local voltage and frequency when requesting a quote.
Is a belt-driven version available?
This model is direct drive. Belt-driven configurations exist in the box fan range depending on model — confirm your requirement when ordering.
What maintenance does it need?
The direct-drive design removes belt service entirely. Periodic cleaning of blades, shutters, and the protection net is recommended between flocks. The IP67 sealed motor requires no internal service.
