Automatic Broiler Feed Pan
Automatic feed pan for commercial floor-raised broiler houses — adjustable feed level for each growth stage, anti-spillage pan design, and direct mounting on standard auger feeding lines. Supplied as single pans or as a complete feeding line.

The automatic broiler feed pan is the feeding unit of an automatic pan feeding line. Feed travels from the silo through the feed pipe and drops into each pan, so the flock feeds from a consistent supply without manual distribution along the house.
Each line is configured against house length, bird numbers, and feeding density — pan quantity, pan spacing, drive unit, suspension lines, and winch for height adjustment.
Key Features
- Adjustable feed level — feed depth is set at each pan for different broiler growth stages, from day-old chicks to market weight.
- Anti-spillage pan design — the pan profile limits feed scatter. Actual savings depend on the feed level setting and bird age.
- High-strength polypropylene (PP) pan body — wear-resistant and washable between flocks.
- Direct mounting on auger feed pipes — pans fit standard poultry feeding line pipe; connects to our main feed delivery auger systems.
- Line height adjustment by winch — manual or motorized raising and lowering as birds grow.
- Detachable, washable pan components — pans open for cleaning between flocks.
- Capacitive feed level sensor — 24V DC with NO/NC output; the line runs only when the pans call for feed.
- Complete line supply — feed pipe, auger, drive unit, suspension, winch, sensors, and controls quoted as one system.

The Complete Feeding Line
The pan works as part of a line system:
Feed Silo → Main Auger Line → Feed Pipe → Drop Outlets → Feed Pans → Level Sensor Control

A complete line consists of:
- Galvanized feed pipe with internal auger
- Feed pans with adjustable feed level
- Drive unit — motor and gearbox
- Suspension lines and winch, manual or motorized
- Capacitive feed level sensor
- Control switch and electrical components
How the System Works
The drive unit moves feed through the pipe with an internal auger. Each pan fills through its drop inlet, with feed depth set by the pan’s adjustable level. The level sensor signals the drive unit to stop when the line is full and to restart as feed is consumed — feed arrives on demand, not on a fixed timer, and no one walks the house with feed buckets.
Adjusting the System as Birds Grow
Two adjustments carry the system through the flock:
Feed level. Set shallow feed for day-old chicks so birds can reach it, then increase the depth as feed intake grows. The setting is made at the pan and can be changed as often as your feeding program requires.
Line height. The winch raises the line as birds grow, keeping pan height at bird-back level. Motorized winches lift all lines from one control point; manual winches are the lower-cost option for smaller houses.
Feed Level Sensor
The capacitive sensor monitors feed status inside the line and feeds the signal back to the drive control. This removes the need for manual inspection walks and prevents feed interruption when consumption rises. Sensor voltage and signal type (NO/NC) are configured to your control panel.
Configuration and Selection
Send us the following and we will confirm pan quantity, spacing, pipe length, drive rating, and sensor positions:
- House length and width
- Bird numbers per house and target density
- New line or retrofit onto an existing auger line
- Winch preference — manual or motorized
- Voltage and frequency
- Destination port
Applications
- Commercial floor-raised broiler houses
- Broiler and breeder floor systems using pan feeding
- New farm projects supplied as complete feeding lines
- Retrofits onto existing auger delivery lines
FAQ
How many broilers can one feed pan serve?
Pan count is calculated from your bird numbers, the feeding space allowance per bird, and house length — not from a fixed catalogue number. Send your flock plan and we will confirm the pan quantity and spacing for your house.
Can the feed level be adjusted?
Yes. Feed depth is set at each pan and changed as the flock grows. Line height is adjusted separately by winch.
Can you supply the complete feeding line?
Yes. The pan is supplied with feed pipe, auger, drive unit, suspension system, winch, level sensor, and control components, quoted as one system. The main auger delivery line from the silo is quoted together with it.
Can the pans fit my existing auger feeding line?
The pans mount on standard 45 mm poultry feed pipe. If you are retrofitting, confirm your pipe diameter before ordering — we adapt the drop outlets to match.
How is the system cleaned between flocks?
Pan components detach and open for washing. The pipe line and drive unit are wiped down; the sensor face is kept clean for reliable detection.
What maintenance does the system need?
Low. Routine checks of the drive unit and winch, plus keeping sensor faces clean. Pan bodies are washable and replaceable individually if damaged.
